Yes some do play over the summer


Incoming freshman still usually play on their 18U travel team. Others play occasionally in the summer (a few weekends) with 23U teams or 18O teams. There is a new summer league this year offered by the Florida Gulf Coast League. They have had baseball for years, but added several softball teams this year. I believe Maddi Banks and a few other ACC players are signed up to play in the 6 week summer season.
